fall 2024 agriculturists magazine

In Fall 2024, I had the opportunity to serve as Editor of The Agriculturist at Kansas State University, the student-produced magazine highlighting the people, programs, and progress within the College of Agriculture. In this role, I oversaw the publication from concept to completion, leading the editorial process, coordinating content, and managing the overall design and layout.

Serving as editor allowed me to combine my passions for storytelling, strategic communication, and visual design while collaborating with a talented team of student writers, photographers, and designers. The finished publication reflects the innovation, tradition, and impact of agriculture at K-State, and I am proud to have played a role in bringing those stories to life.

KSU ASI Family and Friends Reunion Publication

In the sping and fall of 2022 and again in the spring and fall of 2023 I was enrolled in ASI 661 - ASI Event Promotion and Communication at K-State. ASI 661 is designed to help students build their portfolios through hands-on experience and networking with K-State alumni. In addition to gathering hands-on experience, ASI 661 students assist with the K-State ASI Family & Friends Reunion held every October. After the event, our class created a print publication, and I had the opportunity to serve as the Managing Editor in 2022, overseeing the design and layout of the publication which summarizes the event and highlights the ASI at K-State. Below is the finished publication including stories written by my classmates.

Below is a layout that I designed for the Family and Friends publication. We had three retiree spotlights in the publication and it was important to me that they all were designed constantly, except the color pallets, which were selected to match their Alma maters colors. The spread shown below also shows the story I wrote for the publication about Dr. Jeffery Stevenson.
